Going Ons

Yesterday was a busy day for us. We had some things to get done and we fit homeschool where we could. I had to take K to the hospital to get him preregistered and check for surgery. He has to have tubes put in tomorrow. We had no choice, he keeps having ear infections that are getting closer and closer together. When he went for a hearing test he failed one of them and he has lots of fluid behind his ears. Now he has great vocabulary for his age so they don't think it has effected his speach or hearing yet they think the fluid is causing him to fail the test and that once drained he will pass the test. However if we don't put the tubes in this can eventually affect his hearing and speach. So anyways real early in the morning we are off to get his ears fixed.

I love homeschooling, it is so much fun and we can fit it in and make it work with our lives. I am learning so much and learning so much about my kids and their learning ability.

I am working on a new Master Schedule, hope to have it done and in the works on Monday. I am needing to put in exercising time so I have to move a few things. I would also like to do a tour of my home maybe in a few weeks.

Well must go and start school work.

Happenings

It's again Monday and we are all up and at it early. I love the time change in the fall, I know I don't really get any extra time but it feels like I do and I really love it.

We had Christmas play practice last night. The children all are doing great. There are a few things we have to work on but for such small aged children we are doing great. Our oldest child is nine and all the others are five and under. But they are such fun and the things they come up with is great.

We have had a great blessing. A family of four moved next to my dad. These people are homesteading, they have two boys and they are homeschooling them. We have visited with them some and they are attending our church. It is such a blessing to have someone nearby that you can talking with and relate with. Thank you God for that wonderful blessing.

Time Gets Away From Me

I am always meaning to get on here and update my blog but I find myself so enjoying being a mommy and wife that I don't have the time at the end of the day to blog. I enjoy blogging and reading other blogs but I enjoy my family more and spend every momemt I can with them or doing things for them.

We have been enjoying the fall season. The leaves are beautiful this is my favoriate time of year. Homeschooling is going great. W is learning more and more and he really enjoys it. K is benefitting well from listening to me school W. A is growing more and more everyday, I can't believe she will be 1 soon.

We are working on the Christmas Play at church now and enjoying every minute of it.

Well I must go, I have a few things to do today.

Wonderful Weekend

We had a wonderful weekend. I got my car back ( I have been having problems with it all summer hopefully it is fixed this time) so we were able to go get groceries without waiting on hubby to get home. Saturday was wonderful, I woke up and fixed a big breakfast for my family then I did a little bit of laundry and cleaning and then I visited with my mom and neice. I really enjoyed the time spent there. Then we had church Sunday and we had a wonderful service and then we went to dinner at Mom's and had another wonderful time.

Today we are going to work on some housework and laundry and of course our school work. I don't have a lot to blog about right now but I have some ideas for blogs later. I want to post my detergent recipe and softener recipe and a few other things.

Finally back

I have been so busy lately and so much to do that I couldn't even check my email. You should have seen my inbox the other day it took me forever to clean it up.

We had a wonderful summer, the kids enjoyed playing. I enjoyed gardening and putting things up for the winter. I am pretty much done except for some pumpkins that I am going to cut up and freeze. We got lots of stuff, beans, corn, potatoes, some salsa (not as much as we usually do because I tomatoes all died), zucchini for bread, and lots and lots of pickles.

We have started school and it is going great, my oldest is in kindergarden and just in the short while we have been doing this he is already beginning to read and adding and subtracting. He doesn't like to do his writing lesson but does them anyway, that is without doubt his less favoriate thing to do. But he loves his reading and math lessons. This homeschooling is a lot more fun then I thought it would be, I am really glad we choose to do it.

So fall is coming up and that is another really busy but fun season for us. Actually I don't think we have any season that isn't busy, maybe the winter is probably the calmest season for us but we are still always doing things, like playing in the snow. :)

We have homecoming coming up at our church, then the fall kids day all in October. We will be starting Christmas play practice soon, because all of our kids are five and under and will need a lot of practice if we are to pull it off. I want to do fall cleaning in October, seeing as I never got my spring cleaning done. The things I really want to get done are the storage room cleaned out and organized, front porch cleaned up, and the kids rooms cleaned up, walls washed down and so on.

Of course I always have projects I want to finish and new ones to start. I want to work on my turkey and pumpkin decorations, I want to finish my coasters for the living room, I want to start on K quilt and get it done before cold weather and I want to finish the rooster pillows I am making for my mother.

So much to do so little time :) But I will get it done when I can.

Fall is my favoriate time of the year. I am waiting for the leaves to turn so the hillsides are full of color. I love the chill in the air and getting together around an outdoor fire at night (we did this with my parents last weekend and loved it). There is a clean smell in the air that no other season has, I just love it.

Looooong Time

It has been awhile since I last posted. I have just found myself busier and busier all the time. With summer here, we are always doing something and leaves little time to be on the computer. In fact I just checked my email the other day!



We have our garden up and going, with young plants growing everyday. I have corn, potatoes, beans, squash, zuccini, tomatoes, cucumber, I did have pumpkins but they kinda accidently got plowed up

It's been a while...

I am so sorry that I have not been keeping up with my blog as a should. I am aplogizing more to me than anyone because I really enjoy it. However I have been so busy that I can't find the time to even sit down in front of the computer. I really need to start getting up earlier and getting more done before the kids get up. I always get up at 5:30 and get my hubby's breakfast but I have been finding myself going back to sleep because I am so tired. I need to get back to staying up, I really got a lot more done when I did that.

We are enjoying the warmer weather and getting our garden going. We are all really excited about that, fresh veggies are so good and good for you.

Well I must keep this short for I have things to do. Maybe I can start back posting everyday on Monday.
